I just put a hold on a cruise for ME. That does not happen as often as you would think.
Carnival Liberty. Fourteen days. Caribbean and Panama. Sailing out of New Orleans on November 28, 2027.
Look at this lineup: Montego Bay, Aruba, Curaçao, Cartagena, Colón, Limón, Cozumel. Aruba and Curaçao are the two ports everybody wishes their western Caribbean cruise would swap in, and this one just hands them to you in the middle of fourteen nights.
Full honesty, because that is the deal around here: the ship docks at Colón. It does not sail through the Panama Canal. If you want the locks, there is a ferry excursion that does them. I knew that going in and I picked it anyway. The full transit is a someday trip. This one is about the route.
And the part that got me: I have never sailed out of New Orleans. Never even been to New Orleans. I have sent a small army of you down that river and never once stood on the dock myself. That ends next November.
The hold is mine until Tuesday. Then the deposit makes it real.
