Galveston Cruise Hotels With Parking and Shuttles

Parking at the Port of Galveston can add a surprising amount to the cost of a cruise vacation. Staying in Galveston the night before your cruise may give you access to extended cruise parking, port transportation or a hotel package that includes both.

Start With the Current Hotel Directory

Hotel parking fees, shuttle schedules and cruise-package requirements change frequently. Instead of relying on an outdated list, use Visit Galveston’s current directory to compare cruise-friendly hotels:

The directory includes options offering:

  • Extended parking during your cruise
  • Shuttle transportation to the cruise terminal
  • Cruise packages combining a hotel stay, parking and transportation
  • Hotels located near the Seawall, Historic Downtown and the West End

What to Confirm Before Booking

Contact the hotel directly and ask:

  • Is cruise parking included, or does it require a special package?
  • Is there a daily or weekly parking fee?
  • Is shuttle service included or charged separately?
  • Does the shuttle serve your specific cruise terminal?
  • Do you need shuttle reservations?
  • Can you leave your vehicle for the full length of your cruise?
  • Are there restrictions for oversized vehicles?

My Galveston Tip

Compare the complete cost—not merely the room rate. A hotel with cruise parking may cost more for one night but still be a better value than paying separately for a hotel and port parking.

Gaido’s Seaside Inn has been one of my personal favorites, especially an ocean-view first-floor room. The property does not have elevators, so confirm the room location and current cruise-parking terms before booking.

If your hotel does not provide a shuttle, Uber or Lyft may still be an easy option. Check the current fare and pickup arrangements before your sailing day.

Important: Parking prices, package terms and shuttle availability can change. Always confirm everything directly with the hotel before making a nonrefundable reservation.
