Regent From Galveston: The $13,099 Christmas Sailing Where Everything Is Actually Included
A thirteen thousand dollar cruise out of Galveston is real. Not a typo. Not a timeshare pitch. Regent Seven Seas Splendor, 17 nights round trip, and you wake up Christmas morning in George Town, Grand Cayman.
Ship: Seven Seas Splendor, Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Sailing: 17-night round trip from Galveston
Departs: December 11, 2026, returns December 28, 2026
Itinerary: 9 Caribbean ports
Fares: from $13,099 per guest
And before you ask, no, it does not just go to Cozumel and back three times. Here is where this ship actually goes: Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Punta Cana, San Juan, Tortola, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, Gustavia in St. Barts, St. John’s in Antigua, and George Town. Nine ports. So the next time someone tells you Galveston only does Cozumel runs, you can smile and know better.
Here is why Regent sailing from Galveston is a big deal. Cruise lines vote with steel. MSC built a terminal there. Disney winters there. Carnival parked its biggest ship class there. And now Regent, the fancy one, is sailing out of Texas. Galveston got audited by the cruise industry and passed.
So what is Regent, exactly? An all-suite ship, about 750 guests, no lines, no chaos, no fighting for a deck chair. The fare includes excursions in every port, drinks, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and even laundry. You get off the ship and there is no second bill waiting at home. That is the whole pitch.
Now the honest math. Take a cheap cruise, then add 17 nights of drink packages, specialty restaurants, excursions, Wi-Fi, and tips for two people, and the gap between that total and Regent’s fare gets a lot smaller than you think. Who is it not for? The waterslide crowd. And that is fine. It is not trying to be. If your perfect sea day involves a zip line and a belly flop contest, keep scrolling with my blessing.
Price stated plainly, because I hate guessing games: from $13,099 per guest for this sailing. Everything I listed above is included.
The Pan Am Voyage: 28 Days, 18 Caribbean Ports, Round Trip From Miami
One cruise. 18 Caribbean ports. Round trip from Miami.
A hundred years ago, Pan Am’s flying boats, airplanes with boat hulls that landed on water, hopped these same harbors, back when the Caribbean had harbors everywhere and runways almost nowhere. In October 2027, Holland America Line’s Zuiderdam sails that same route to mark Pan Am’s 100th anniversary. Nine of these ports are original Pan Am Clipper stops.
Ship: Zuiderdam, Holland America Line
Sailing: 28-Day Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage
Departs: Miami October 30, 2027, returns November 27, 2027
Itinerary: 19 ports, 13 countries
Fares: from $4,179 per guest
Ports in order: Miami, Nassau, RelaxAway Half Moon Cay, Ocho Rios, Santo Domingo, San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Trinidad, Curacao, Aruba, Santa Marta, Cartagena, Colon, Puerto Limon, Belize City, Cozumel, Progreso, and back to Miami.
Some routes are too good to leave in the history books.
Galveston Cruise Deal Drop: Four Royal Ships, One Drive-To Port
Wait a minute. The 4 night cruise costs more than the 5 night?
It does, and it is exactly why Galveston is the port to watch right now. Four Royal Caribbean ships are sailing Western Caribbean out of Galveston, and the prices do not line up the way you would expect.
Liberty of the Seas: 5 nights, Cozumel and Costa Maya. From $359.94 per person, sailing January 9, 2027. That is $71.99 a night.
Mariner of the Seas: 4 nights, Cozumel. From $497.55 per person, sailing October 22, 2026. A shorter cruise at a higher price, and that date is this month, so it will not sit there long.
Symphony of the Seas: 7 nights, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. From $607.44 per person, sailing February 28, 2027. At $86.78 a night, this is the value sleeper of the four.
Icon of the Seas: 7 nights, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan. From $1,101.70 per person, sailing January 9, 2028. Yes, Icon sails from Galveston. No flight to Miami required.
All four prices are inside cabins, per person, double occupancy, and they include taxes and fees. Select sailings, subject to availability, and cruise prices move without asking anybody.

Would You Pay $2,662 More for the Smaller Suite? Inside MSC Yacht Club
Would you pay $2,662 more for the smaller suite? 👀
At first glance, that sounds ridiculous. But I was digging into the whole “ship within a ship” concept and priced an actual MSC Seascape sailing from Galveston. This is where it gets interesting.
The real Galveston comparison
I priced the same 7-night MSC Seascape Western Caribbean sailing from Galveston, November 1–8, 2026, for two guests. Prices shown included taxes and fees when I checked them and can change at any time.

Difference
—
+$2,662 total
Yep. In this comparison, the less expensive Grand Suite Aurea is actually bigger.
So what are you paying the extra $2,662 for?
Not simply more square footage. You’re paying for MSC Yacht Club.
MSC Yacht Club is a private premium enclave inside the larger ship—the classic “ship within a ship” idea. Yacht Club guests still have the restaurants, entertainment and activities of MSC Seascape, but they also get access to areas and services reserved for Yacht Club.
Private Yacht Club restaurant, lounge and pool/sundeck areas
24-hour butler service and dedicated concierge
Premium Extra drink package
Premium internet package
Thermal Suite access
Priority services and other Yacht Club privileges
But don’t dismiss the Grand Suite Aurea
The Grand Suite Aurea isn’t exactly the cheap seats. 😂 On this sailing, it gives you considerably more cabin and balcony space for $2,662 less.
Aurea also comes with its own perks, including priority boarding and luggage drop-off, flexible dining, access to the thermal area and Top Exclusive Solarium, a welcome package, spa discounts and additional suite benefits such as priority tender/disembarkation, an espresso machine, initial minibar items and limited complimentary ironing.
Who should pay for Yacht Club?
If your priority is simply getting the biggest suite for your money, this particular comparison makes the Grand Suite Aurea pretty hard to ignore.
But if you want a quieter private retreat, dedicated spaces, elevated service, drinks and internet bundled in, and the ability to step out of that environment whenever you want the full mega-ship experience, Yacht Club starts making a lot more sense.
That’s why comparing Yacht Club only by cabin size misses the point. You’re not just upgrading the room. You’re upgrading the way you use the ship.
Would I automatically tell everyone to spend the extra $2,662?
Nope. This is exactly the kind of upgrade that depends on how you cruise. Some people will get far more value from the bigger Aurea suite and keeping $2,662 in their pocket. Others will look at everything Yacht Club includes and decide the private experience is the whole reason they’re going.
Pricing above was captured for two guests on MSC Seascape’s November 1, 2026 sailing from Galveston and included taxes and fees at the time checked. Cruise pricing and availability change constantly. Suite dimensions can vary within a category.
Disney Castaway Cay From Galveston: What I Didn’t Know
HMMMM… I didn’t know this. Did you? 👀
I’ve been digging into Disney Cruise Line’s island destinations, and apparently I’ve been sleeping on Castaway Cay. 😂 Even better for my Gulf Coast cruisers: select Disney Magic sailings visit Disney’s island destinations from Galveston.
There’s a kids club ON Castaway Cay
This is what originally got my attention. Scuttle’s Cove is Disney’s supervised youth area right on Castaway Cay. Kids can enjoy activities with Disney youth counselors while the grown-ups have another option waiting for them…
Serenity Bay is adults-only
Serenity Bay is the adults-only beach at Castaway Cay. So yes, Disney managed to put a kids club and an adults-only escape on the same island. 😂
What’s included at Castaway Cay?
A surprising amount is included in the cruise fare: beach access, lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, BBQ lunch, soft drinks and soft-serve ice cream. There’s also Pelican Plunge, a water-play platform with two waterslides. Some rentals, Port Adventures and premium experiences cost extra.
Disney from Galveston may cost less than you think
I hear “Disney Cruise” and automatically expect the price to be wild, so I went looking. Here’s one real example currently showing in my booking system:
Disney Magic — 7-Night Bahamian Cruise from Galveston January 21–28, 2028
Stateroom
Starting Total
Inside
$1,546.26
Oceanview
$1,777.26
Balcony
$2,281.26
Suite
$4,990.26
That inside starting price works out to about $773 per person for two guests for seven nights. 👀
Prices shown are starting totals displayed for two guests in my booking system and include taxes and fees. Cruise pricing and availability can change at any time, so use the live search below for current pricing.
You can browse the sailings and current prices yourself. If you want help choosing the right itinerary or stateroom, you can also Start Planning with Cristi.
Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay?
And now I’ve found another rabbit hole. 😂 Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point aren’t the same experience. Castaway Cay is Disney’s established private-island destination, while Lookout Cay is on Eleuthera and puts more emphasis on Bahamian culture, art and traditions. That comparison deserves its own guide.
I haven’t personally visited Castaway Cay yet. This guide is based on my research and current Disney Cruise Line information rather than pretending I’ve been somewhere I haven’t. Itineraries and island experiences can change.
17-Night Spain & Morocco Transatlantic from New Orleans | Mariner of the Seas | April 24, 2027
Start in New Orleans. Wake up to Spain and Morocco. This 17-night sailing on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas takes you across the Atlantic with plenty of sea days to settle in, then visits two Moroccan ports and southern Spain before arriving in Barcelona.
April 24 through May 11, 2027 · 17 nights · New Orleans to Barcelona
Prices checked October 5, 2026. Per person, based on double occupancy, including taxes and fees. Prices and availability are subject to change.
Where you’ll go
New Orleans, Louisiana: depart April 24
Miami, Florida: April 27
Casablanca, Morocco: May 6
Tangier, Morocco: May 7
Seville (Cadiz), Spain: May 8
Malaga, Spain: May 9
Barcelona, Spain: arrive May 11
I like this option for travelers who want time to enjoy the ship as much as the destinations. It’s a one-way sailing, so plan for your trip home from Barcelona or add a few days in Spain afterward.
Prices and availability can change. Check the booking link for current cabin options and fares. Itinerary is subject to change.
