Carnival is introducing exciting changes this year that are sure to keep you eagerly anticipating your next adventure! With fresh itineraries and captivating destinations on the horizon, along with some price adjustments, there’s so much to discover. Check it out and see what experiences await you!
1. “New” Ships

Carnival will have the addition of two exciting ships this year, coming from P&O Australia—the Pacific Adventure and the Pacific Encounter! Rebranded as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, these beautiful vessels will make their home in Sydney and Brisbane, where they will undergo a two-week wet dock transformation to receive a stunning, Carnival-worthy makeover that guests will love.
2. Menu for Lido Deck Buffet
When you think about a cruise, one of the first things that may come to mind is the food! There are no leaks yet as to what is to come, but Carnival Brand AmbassadorJohn Heald has revealed that Carnival is currently in works to have a new buffet menu coming out this year!
3. New Alaska Sailings

Carnival is expanding its Alaska sail offerings, with many exciting journeys scheduled for Carnival Spirit and Carnival Luminosa. Both ships will operate weekly cruises (7 Nights) that will explore the stunning ports of Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm, Ketchikan, and Victoria. While these sailings might have a refreshing chill in the air compared to other cruises, the breathtaking views await to leave you in awe!
4. Celebration Key

2025 introduces a new Carnival private destination – Celebration Key! This will open to guests in July 2025, and is located on the South side of Grand Bahama Island in the Bahamas. I will be one of the first guests to experience this, and can not wait to get back and tell you all about it!
With the good, must come some not so great changes as well. You can find these less exciting changes below.
5. Increased Cheers! Drink Package Prices

All sailings from 2025 and on are going to have a Cheers! Drink Package price increase to $82.54 per day, per person. If you have already secured your Cheers! drink package at the previous price, at the previous price of $70.74 per day, per person you are safe from this increase.
6. No More AARP Discount
Last year, the AARP discount dropped from 10% to 8%, which saw a steeper decrease to 5% in December 2024. Now, Carnival seems to have dropped the partnership with AARP entirely, as of January 2025.
